TV gardening pioneers, Anstace and Larry Esmonde-White hosted their 17-year running PBS series "From a Country Garden" until the late 8os, charming viewers as they transformed open fields into their unique and beloved English country garden. Thirty years later, their granddaughter Sahra is taking on the adventure of restoring both their legacy gardens and the country house.
The goal of this home makeover is to create a sanctuary for rest and rejuvenation, central to apothecary living, designing rooms and nooks that bring wellness into every space. New to gardening, the 3-acre garden makeover is guided by Sahra's grandparents' old TV footage, photos and books; she uses them to learn the how-to's of gardening while deepening her connection to her family roots. The healing elements of the garden are at one with the house in this unique property design.
